Turn an idea, script, recording or reference image into a narrated video. Mootion combines scene planning, visuals and voiceovers in a browser-based workflow, with model choice and credit use worth checking before you subscribe.
Mootion is easy to pick up and has a wide range of video workflows. Its results can be uneven, though, and model-based credit use makes a paid plan harder to judge in advance. It suits creators making social videos who can tolerate some retries.

Mootion is an AI video generator that turns an idea, script, image or audio recording into a story video with scenes and narration. If you are producing content regularly but cannot justify a production team, it can shorten the journey from an outline to a first draft.
What works: The interface is approachable, and the combination of script generation, visual styles, voiceovers and scene-based editing gives you several ways to start. Its paid plans include watermark-free output. Mootion also offers an API for developers, though that is a separate integration route rather than a reason to choose a consumer plan.
What holds it back: I would budget for retries. An output may miss the prompt or need work on its pacing or voice, while more capable models cost considerably more credits per second. Mootion now requires a paid plan to create and download videos, removing the low-cost test described in my earlier review.
My take: It is a useful creative shortcut for faceless videos and first drafts, especially if you have a regular publishing schedule. It is less convincing when you need predictable costs or detailed manual control over the final cut. Think of it as a speedy creative assistant rather than a replacement for a professional editor. Check the cost of the model you plan to use before choosing an annual subscription.
Mootion is a web-based AI video creation platform that combines text-to-video, image-to-video and recording-to-video workflows. It can help turn an outline into a script and scenes, or build visuals around an existing recording.
I originally spent time testing its story-video workflow and found it fast to use. For more involved projects, Mootion provides storyboard and scene controls; for a quicker single-shot clip it now describes an Instant Mode. You can download the finished video and, where offered, the underlying scripts and scene assets for editing elsewhere. It is one of several ways to make AI video content when you need a short turnaround.
There is also a Mootion API for integrating video generation into another app or workflow. Availability and commercial terms should be checked with Mootion if you plan to use it at scale.
Mootion has a broad feature set for creating AI stories and short videos. Open each item for the detail:
Use a written idea or script, a recording, a video clip or a reference image. Mootion can plan scenes and visuals around the material you already have.
A short concept can be expanded into a script and a sequence of scenes. Review the wording before rendering, particularly where accuracy matters.
Choose from a range of looks for animated stories, social content and explainers. The original review counted more than ten styles; the currently available selection may change.
Add an AI presenter or narration. Voice quality varies by voice and plan; the Plus tier advertises ultra-realistic voiceovers.
Turn a reference image into a moving clip. The model you select changes both the result and the credits consumed per second.
Review a storyboard, revise text or scene imagery, rearrange scenes and then render. It offers useful high-level changes, though it is not a full manual video editor.
The platform can create camera movement, character motion and scene effects. Results are AI generated, so fine detail may need another attempt.
Paid plans support higher-volume creation. Mootion also offers a separate API route for integrating generation into your own workflow.
Download a finished video or a project ZIP containing scripts, images and clips for further editing in another application.
Mootion markets commercial models and paid-plan usage. Check its current terms, any model-specific conditions and the rights to your source assets before using a result for a client or advert.
Add background music and sound effects; Mootion also supports models that generate audio with video.
Generate narration in a range of languages. Mootion lists more than ten output languages in its FAQ.
Use image editing and scene-level titles, subtitles or thumbnails to give a project a more consistent look.
Developers can integrate Mootion video creation into another product or automation. Contact Mootion about access and pricing rather than assuming it is included with a standard plan.
The main attraction is how quickly Mootion takes you from an idea to a draft video. Its limits are the variability of AI output and the cost of trying different versions.
These are the uses from my original review that make the most sense for Mootion:
Make narrated short videos from text or recordings without appearing on camera. Allow time and credits for edits when the generated scenes do not match your idea.
Turn a lesson outline into an explainer or illustrated story. Templates and multilingual output can help, but always check facts and suitability for the audience.
Draft product stories and short social adverts, then review the visuals, wording, brand use and commercial rights before publishing.
Create a first video without arranging a shoot or learning a full editing package. The costs make most sense when you know how often you need new content.
Repurpose a written article as a narrated video. Treat the generated script as a draft so your main points survive the conversion.
Mootion sells four paid subscriptions. Credits refresh each billing cycle, and the cost of a video depends on its length and model. Annual billing saves 20% but charges the full year upfront. Its FAQ also mentions extra credit packs, without publishing a pack price on this pricing page. View Mootion pricing.

Mootion charges per second of generated video. In its current FAQ, Base and MiniMax H3 Flash are 4 credits/second; MiniMax H3 is 20.
The same FAQ lists Seedance 2.0 Mini at 25, Seedance 2.0 at 40 and Seedance 2.5 at 64 credits/second. A 10-second Seedance 2.5 clip would therefore consume 640 credits before any retries.
Plan credits reset at the next billing cycle; unused subscription credits do not build up indefinitely. Mootion also offers extra credit packs, whose prices are not listed publicly; purchased and referral credits have different expiry rules.
Rates and model availability may change. Confirm the credit estimate in your workspace for the exact model and length before committing to a render.
My recommendation: Start with Standard if you are experimenting and choose a less expensive model for initial drafts. Plus makes sense when you regularly need longer storyboards and faster generation. Move to Pro or Max only when you can justify the extra credits with a repeatable workflow.
Mootion offers help documents, a community and tutorials. Max includes personalised support. If billing or cancellation matters to your decision, read the terms and check the route to contact support before paying for a year.
The documentation covers video workflows, model costs, billing and common account questions. It is the best first stop for a specific product question.
Mootion publishes an extensive FAQ, including guidance on downloads, credits, mobile use and cancelling a subscription.
The community gives creators somewhere to exchange examples and advice. Community discussion is useful, but it is not a substitute for an account-support response.
Mootion publishes videos and walkthroughs for exploring its creation workflows.
The FAQ describes a cancellation route in subscription settings. A small number of Trustpilot reviewers report difficulty getting replies or resolving cancellation and refunds. Those are individual accounts, not proof that every customer has the same experience. Confirm the cancellation and refund terms before subscribing.
The pricing page explicitly lists personalised customer support for Max. It does not publish a standard response-time promise for every tier.
Support summary: Self-service resources and community help are available. My support score is lower because several public customer accounts raise questions about billing and account help, though the review sample is small.
