What Is Kaiber AI?
Kaiber AI is an AI-powered video platform built for artists, musicians, and content creators who want to generate videos, images, and audio-reactive visuals – all from one place.
It’s not just a single tool. Think of it more as a creative hub where you bring your ideas (text prompts, images, or audio files) and let the AI do the heavy lifting on animation, motion, and style.
The platform’s main workspace is called Superstudio, an infinite canvas that brings together a curated selection of the world’s best generation models – including Kling, Luma, Google Veo, and Kaiber’s own models under one roof.

AI Note: I sometimes use AI tools to help with outlining and drafting, but the testing and final written opinions are mine.
TL;DR
I’ve spent time digging into Kaiber AI inside and out, and here’s my honest read on it.
If you’re a musician, artist, or short-form content creator who wants to make visually interesting videos fast – and you don’t need your outputs to look photorealistic – Kaiber is genuinely worth trying.
The multi-model setup gives you real creative range, and the audio reactivity feature for music videos is really impressive.
The 5-day trial for $5 means you can test it properly before committing. (I’d still plan your projects though, as the 300 credits can go rather quickly!)
That said, this is not a tool for precision video production. So, if you’re looking for high-end results, you may have to use a separate tool to finish off your projects.
What I really like: The Superstudio canvas feels genuinely different to other AI video tools. Switching between models like Flipbook, Kling, Luma, and Veo inside the same project, without jumping between platforms, is super handy. No more messing with multiple tabs!
The Beat Sync feature for music-reactive videos is the standout capability. It’s the reason artists like Linkin Park have used Kaiber AI for real music video production. Have a look!
What frustrated me: I’m afraid it’s the same old problem with AI video generator tools, but the credit system burns faster than you’d expect.
A single 5-second clip using Veo 3.1 can cost up to 180 credits on a Creator plan – that’s 12% of your monthly allowance on one clip.
First-time users will almost certainly blow through their credits learning the platform, which makes the onboarding feel expensive and unforgiving.

Key Features:
Kaiber AI’s feature list it’s quite impressive. Take a look:
- Infinite Canvas (Superstudio): The core workspace where everything happens. You generate, refine, and combine images, videos, and audio in a single node-based flow, similar to a Flora AI-style infinite workspace.
- Multi-Model Video Generation: Generate from text or images using Kling 3.0, Luma Ray 2, Google Veo 3.1, Wan 2.5, MiniMax, and Kaiber’s own Flipbook model – each suited to different visual styles and outputs.
- Beat Sync (Audioreactivity): Upload an audio track and Kaiber AI automatically synchronises your visuals to the beat, choosing from styles like high energy, cinematic, or time skip.
- Image-to-Video: Upload any still image and bring it to life with motion, transitions, and effects.
- Custom Model Training (LoRA): Train a custom AI model on your own visual style or character, so every output maintains your aesthetic without constant re-prompting.
- 4K Upscaling via Topaz: Upscale images and videos to 4K resolution using Topaz – available on Creator and Pro plans.
- Video Restyle: Apply AI-generated style transfers to existing footage, transforming it into an entirely different visual aesthetic.
- Lip Sync: Animate faces in images or videos to sync with audio. Great for character animation and social content.
- Kaiber Labs: I love this addition! Kaiber offers a separate space where experiments with new tools and creative tech can be used before they reach the main canvas.

Kaiber AI Pros & Cons:
Kaiber AI gets a lot right – but there are a few things that’ll catch you out if you’re not expecting them:
Pros ✅
- All major AI video models in one place: Kling, Luma, Veo, Wan, MiniMax – switching between them mid-project is seamless.
- Audioreactivity is Genuinely Unique: No other mainstream AI video tool does music-to-video synchronisation this well.
- Credits Never Expire: Roll over unused credits indefinitely, which is unusually generous for a subscription-based AI tool.
- Custom Model Training: Train your own LoRA on your visual identity – a feature that sets Kaiber apart for brand-consistent creators.
- 5-day Trial for $5: A proper paid trial that gives you full Creator access to test real features before committing monthly.
- Commercial Use Included On All Paid Plans: No licensing worries if you’re creating content for clients or commercial projects.
- Regular Model Updates: Kaiber adds new models and capabilities frequently, so the platform evolves quickly.
Cons ❌
- Credits Disappear Fast: Premium models like Veo 3.1 cost 36 credits per second – a 5-second clip alone is 180 credits.
- 5-day Trial for $5: Don’t forget to cancel your credit card before the 5 days, otherwise you’ll get tied into whatever plan you clicked on!
- Inconsistent Output Quality: Results can look excellent on one generation and completely miss the brief on the next.
- Upscaling costs extra credits on top of generation: You pay to generate, then pay again to upscale to 1080p or 4K.
- Editing tools are basic: The built-in timeline is fine for splitting and reordering clips, but it’s not a serious editor.
- Learning curve on the canvas: First-timers can find the node-based infinite canvas confusing before it clicks.
- Trustpilot score is mixed: Currently sitting around 2.6 to 3.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot, with some users reporting billing frustrations.

Applications:
Kaiber AI has lots of use cases across numerous content creation workflows:
- Music Videos and Audio Visualisers: The standout use case. Beat Sync makes it easy to create visuals that pulse and cut with the rhythm of a track – used by major artists including Linkin Park and Kid Cudi.
- Short-Form Content: TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts sit well within Kaiber’s output style – short, aesthetic, motion-heavy clips.
- Concept Art and Visual Development: Generate multiple visual directions for a project quickly, explore style options, and decide what to develop further before committing to full production.
- Brand Visual Content: Custom LoRA training means you can lock in a consistent visual identity and generate content that always looks on-brand.
- Abstract and Artistic Animation: Kaiber AI is great for stylised, non-photorealistic animation – think artistic and motion-art content rather than corporate explainer videos.
- Image Animation: Bring product shots, portraits, or illustrations to life with subtle or dramatic motion.

Credit usage breakdown:
Credits are the currency that powers every generation inside Superstudio. Here’s what the main models actually cost per use, so you know what to expect before you start:
– Image Generation (per image):
- Flux / Imagen 4 / Nano Banana: 4 credits (Creator/Pro), 5 credits (Flex)
- Image Lab 2: 9 credits (Creator/Pro), 11 credits (Flex)
- Recraft v4 SVG: 8 credits (Creator/Pro), 10 credits (Flex)
–Video Generation (per second of video):
- Flipbook: 1 credit/second — the cheapest option, great for experimentation
- Kling 2.1 Standard: 5 credits/second (Creator/Pro)
- Kling 3.0 Standard: 24 credits/second (Creator/Pro)
- Luma Ray 2: 16 credits/second (Creator/Pro)
- Veo 3.1 Fast (without audio): 16 credits/second (Creator/Pro)
- Veo 3.1 (with audio): 36 credits/second (Creator/Pro)
- Wan 2.5: 20 credits/second (Creator/Pro)
- MiniMax: 6 credits/second (Creator/Pro)
Other costs:
- Video Upscale: 1 credit/second
- Custom Model Training (LoRA): 200 credits (Creator/Pro)
- Image Upscale (Topaz): 4 credits/image
Additional Credit Packs (available on any plan, never expire):
Credit Packs
| Pack | Price | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Mini | $5 | 300 |
| Small | $15 | 1,000 |
| Big | $50 | 3,500 |
| Super | $250 | 20,000 |
My recommendation:
I would start with the 5-day trial at $5 and spend those credits deliberately – try Flipbook first (cheapest model at 1 credit/second) to learn the canvas without burning your budget.
If you’re making music content or short social clips regularly, the Creator annual plan at $23/month is the way to go.
The Pro Plan only makes financial sense if you’re producing content at agency volume. And if you’re tempted by Veo 3.1, I would budget carefully – it chews through credits faster than any other model on the platform.

Customer Support:
Kaiber’s support is a mixed picture, and it’s worth knowing what to expect going in.
- Help Center: The platform has a dedicated knowledge base covering ‘how to get started’, billing, credit queries, and troubleshooting.
- Email Support: The team is reachable through a dedicated email, and Kaiber responds to 100% of negative Trustpilot reviews, typically within 24 hours.
- Discord Community: With over 95,000 members, the Kaiber Discord is an active hub for peer support, prompt tips, and direct feedback to the team.
- White Glove Support: Available only on the Visionary (enterprise) plan – for everyone else, it’s self-serve plus community.
